Understandable and complete (2009-05-07)
This book provides ample examples and analysis of crucial issues in managerial accounting and general managerial strategy. The writing is clear, and chapters are not drawn out for no reason.
Not Satisfied (2009-05-06)
I had ordered the Cost Accounting textbook that was described as new and hardback. When I received this textbook, it was not only PAPERBACK, but the INTERNATIONAL version too. At first, I had asked only for some money back due to it being paperback. When I realized the textbook was international, I asked for a better refund. Not only did he NOT give me a better refund, but he never responded back to my e-mails. I paid way more than I should have for an international version. I wish I would have just ordered an international paperback textbook from the start. I would have gotten this textbook on time and known exactly what I was receiving for a CHEAPER price. This guy scammed me.
Terrible Book (2009-05-04)
I dislike this book so much that I am taking time to write this review. I have taken many other courses in college and this is the worst book I have had to use. My managerial accounting book, written by Weygandt is much better detailed and shows you how to do the problems. This book is more qualitative and the questions and problems give me a headache. It is one thing that the questions and problems are hard (not a bad thing, a challenge can help learning), but that each question has many sections and has like 3 paragraphs of scenarios. I don't see how this is necessary, it just confuses me. I had a much easier time learning managerial accounting than cost accounting, which is the same exact material covered in this book.
Not the edition I ordered (2009-04-21)
The only plus of this was that he sent a free pirated copy of the solution manual. However he did not send the hardback copy of the book I ordered (I received a paperback eastern economy edition that does not have a comparable resale value at all), and it took a long time to arrive, although w/in the window.
